Harvest time is here! The recent heat wave brought harvest to San Diego county a little earlier for a lot of us, and now it's peak harvest season. Curds and Wine has everything you need for making wine from fresh grapes, including a great selection of yeasts, fermentation supplies, and equipment rentals. We also have testing services available, as well as a pH meter available for free use, just bring in your sample!

We now have a variety of glassware in stock for wine analysis and blending: titrator burets, graduated cylinders, flasks and beakers, as well as pipets and bulbs for transferring samples. We also have the color indicators and titration chemicals you need for most basic analysis.
We also do in-house analysis for most basic wine chemistry testing. You are welcomed to bring in as many samples as you want for free pH testing. Bring in a sample (see website for sample volumes) of your wine for unbound SO2, titratable acidity, L-lactic acid or malic acid analysis for $15/sample. Please note we will process your sample as quickly as possible but it might take up to 24 hours to complete your analysis. Most tests are completed in the same day they are dropped off.
